It can also be used to treat pinworm disease, roundworm disease and other intestinal parasitic diseases by taking Guanzhong internally or washing the anus with Guanzhong decoction, which can kill and deworm.

Greasy food

Guanzhong has detoxifying effect, frequent consumption of greasy food may lead to increase of fat content in the body, which will promote the absorption of toxic ingredients and may cause the increase of toxicity, thus affecting the efficacy of Guanzhong and reducing the therapeutic effect. Therefore, it is better not to consume fatty food while taking Guanzhong.
Usage
Infusion
Put an appropriate amount of Guanzhong into a cup, then pour hot water into the cup, let Guanzhong soak in the hot water and drink. It is recommended to control the amount of Guanzhong water and not to drink too much.

功效与作用
清热解毒、凉血止血、杀虫
贯众性寒，有清热解毒的功效，可以用于治疗外感风热引起的感冒，对于热毒引起的皮肤癍疹也有一定的治疗效果。贯众还具有止血的功效，可以治疗血热引起的咳血、便血、崩漏。内服贯众或用贯众煎水后清洗肛门，还可以治疗蛲虫病、蛔虫病等多种肠道寄生虫疾病，从而起到杀虫、驱虫的作用。

油腻食物

贯众有解毒的作用，经常食用油腻食物容易导致体内的脂肪含量增多，脂肪会促进有毒成分的吸收，可能会造成毒性增大，进而影响贯众的药效，降低治疗效果。因此服用贯众期间最好不要食用油腻的食物。
食用方法
泡水
先将适量的贯众放入杯中，再将热水倒入杯中，让贯众在热水中充分浸泡后即可饮用。建议饮用贯众水时要注意控制量，不要过量饮用。
