Born in 1963, his ancestral home is Yixing, Jiangsu Province. He was born in a purple sand family, known as wenshixuan, also known as Jianjun. Born in a family of purple clay pot making, he was influenced by the purple clay culture since childhood. He has a solid foundation and strong interest in purple clay pot making. When he grew up, he entered the purple clay pot craft factory to learn and create, and has been engaged in the design and production of purple clay pots.
Jiang Jianjun graduated from Yixing Light Industry School of Jiangsu Province in 1989, majoring in ceramic technology, and served as the training teacher of the production training class (JINDA special art class) of Zisha pot factory; In 1995, he entered the Central Academy of Arts and crafts for further study, and was carefully taught by Gu Shaopei, a master of purple clay pots. He has made further development and improvement in purple clay making techniques.
Jiang Jianjun likes to watch and learn famous pots, such as those of Shi Dabin, LV Yaochen and other famous masters. They are the objects of his observation and learning. On the basis of learning, he added his own innovation and understanding, and gradually formed his own production style. Jiang Jianjun's pots advocate tradition and are based on practical use. They are simple and generous in shape, easy to grasp and practical to drink.
Jiang Jianjun's purple clay pot works are unique in design, rigorous in production and novel in technique. They have won many awards in various exhibitions and reviews and are deeply loved by friends in the pot industry. And has won many awards:
In 1995, the tea set "five water drops" won the third prize of the "fifth ceramic Festival";
In 2002, Shuangfu pot won the excellent work award of "the first art of Jiangsu Province";
In 2003, Qingfeng pot won the silver award of "China's top ten tea pots";  
In 2004, Qingquan teapot was permanently collected by Wuxi Expo. The teapot "rain beating plantain" won the gold award of the "second Wuxi Taihu Lake Expo Craft Exhibition", and the teapot "Changle" won the gold award of the "Beijing crafts competition";
In 2005, the brick square pot won the bronze award of the "Third China Wuxi Taihu Expo", the "Taihu Cup" of the China purple sand art exhibition, and the Changle pot won the gold award of the "China Arts and Crafts Master and arts and crafts boutique Expo";
In 2006, the tea set "five water drops" won the selection award of the "Eighth National Ceramic Art Design Innovation Competition", and "Qingfeng lifting beam" won the silver award of the large-scale exhibition "Wu local charm" at the Wu Culture Festival in Wuxi, China in 2006.
