Tea Characteristics:
Xigui Raw Pu-erh, sourced from the pristine tea gardens of Bangdong Village, Lincang, Yunnan, is crafted from ancient tea trees (100+ years old) growing at 800–1,000 meters above sea level. The mineral-rich soil and misty microclimate nurture leaves with thick, glossy textures and abundant white pekoe. Each leaf is sun-dried and traditionally processed to preserve its natural enzymes, ensuring a dynamic aging potential. The tea evolves over time, transitioning from fresh floral notes to deep, woody complexity.
Flavor Profile:
Aroma: Intense and layered, blending fresh orchid florals, ripe tropical fruits (lychee, apricot), and subtle earthy undertones.
Taste: A harmonious dance of flavors—bright sweetness upfront, followed by a delicate bitterness that melts into a lingering honey-like aftertaste. The tea’s huigan (returning sweetness) is pronounced, leaving the mouth refreshed and hydrated.
Liquor Color: Golden-amber, crystal-clear, deepening to rich amber with extended aging.
Brewing Guide:
Rinse: Use 5g of tea per 150ml. Rinse leaves with 95°C water for 5 seconds to awaken aromas.
First Infusion: Steep for 15–20 seconds; gradually increase by 5–10 seconds per subsequent brew.
Optimal Vessel: Porcelain gaiwan or Yixing clay teapot to enhance flavor retention.
Reusability: Yields 8–12 infusions, with evolving notes from floral to earthy。
Storage Tips:
Store in a cool, dry, odor-free environment, away from sunlight.
Use breathable ceramic jars or original airtight packaging to allow gradual oxidation. Avoid plastic or refrigerators.
Aging Potential: Improves over 5–10+ years, developing richer, smoother profiles.
