This is a 500g Yunnan Anning Haiwantea Ripe Pu Erh Cake, Lao Tong Zhi(Old Comrades) tea, manufatured in 2013, model "Shen Shan Lao Shu". "Shen Shan Lao Shu" (深山老树)means "old trees deep in high mountains", suggesting the material is very good.
Pu Erh is one of the five main types of tea (white/green/oolong/black/Pu erh), Pu erh tea stands apart with its uncommonly soft earthy flavor and woodsy tones. Unlike all other teas, Pu erh (pronounced 'poo-err') is actually aged. The tea leaves go through a natural fermentation process before the tea is gently dried. This creates a cup with zero astringency and deep, rich body. Pu erh is extraordinarily smooth and deeply refreshing.
In 2013, the old comrade deep mountain old tree tea was specially made from the fresh leaves of the Menghai deep mountain old tea tree as raw materials. It is based on the formula of Mr. Zou Bingliang, the master of Pu'er tea making for the 55th anniversary, and the essence of traditional tea making, which is organically prepared according to modern technological standards. made. The tea cake is neat in shape, with tight and thick strands, showing the bold and simple natural style of Yunnan big-leaf tea. The tea soup is yellow and bright, and the taste is pure and refreshing
