Qingming is a holiday wich has a big value in chinese tradition. Although it is not tied to the lunar calendar (it is celebrated on the 15th day after the spring equinox and usually, except for a leap year, falls on April 5th). It has a double meaning - it is both a day of deceased ancestors' memory and a certain point of reference (especially in tea industry). Consders that tea collected before or during the celebration of Qingming is most useful for health, soft and rich in minerals, because the vegetation of plants in this period is just beginning. In other words, the period shortly before Qingming, as well as the holiday itself is time of collecting the first young leaves.

Such tea is usually sold with the highest possible price, it is in short supply and does not lodge with farmers for a long time. With proper storage conditions taste of freshly picked tea is preserved for a long time and every seller knows about it. Therefore, such tea is simply impossible to buy cheap until next year. We visited the area, which is considered its historic homeland, and found a good direct supplier and now we work with him.

This tea is soft - a little herbal, a bit floral, but you can also feel light, barely noticeable milky notes. It is recommended to try it thoughtfully, listening to its light spring taste.
