This tea origin from the central part of mainland China - Hubei Province, Yichang city. Tea plantations in this region are located at the height of 400 to 1000 metres above sea level on the ridges of U Lin Shan and Da Ba Shan.

As far as known, tea in this area started to grown in the 19th century, right before the notorious Opium Wars, and the tea business here in that period has achieved great success.

In its taste clearly dominated baked cane sugar or fried caramel, which is accompanied by a slightly shaded flavor, reminiscent of pine firewood. There is also a slight bitterness, quickly dissolving before the aftertaste.
