In November 1956, he was admitted to the Purple Sand Factory to study the purple sand craftsmanship and studied under Wu Yungen, Zhu Kexin, Pei Shimin, Jiang Rong, and others. In 1973, he entered the Research Institute of Yixing ware Factory and specialized in modeling design of Zisha Pottery. In September 1975, participated in the "Jiangsu Province Daily Ceramic Art Design Training Course" organized by the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts. In 1998, he officially retired from the Purple Sand Craft Factory. In 2007, Wang Yinxian was selected into the first batch of National Intangible cultural heritage Project Representative Inheritor List. The selected project was Yixing Yixing ware production skills. In February 2012, he participated in the National Intangible cultural heritage Protection Achievement Exhibition held by the Ministry of Culture of the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China and other ministries and commissions.
