The store is located beside Jiaoqiao bridge in Yixing county. In the early days, it was printed as a small square seal in the Yang script of "Wu Desheng", with both the bottom and the cover. Later, it was printed as the Dafang chapter of Yangwen zhenshu "made by Wu Desheng". In the middle of the period, the seal was large and round, and the book was "Wu Desheng system" and "Yixing Wu Desheng system". In the late 1920s, the owner Wu Hanwen established the famous trademark "Jinding trademark" as the shop name of "Wu Desheng". The "Jinding trademark" is printed with the Ding as the pattern in the center, and the four corners are the "Jinding trademark" in regular script in Yangwen, which is the special seal for ordering pots of the "Wu Desheng" shop number. In the later period, Wu Hanwen also sealed the refined pot with the square seal "pine crane Pavilion" in regular script in Yangwen. The seal of "Wu Desheng" and "Jinding trademark" is sealed on the bottom of the pot, and the seal of the pot maker is usually printed on the lid. At that time, Yan Ru, Chu Yinlan, Wang Xichen, Feng Guilin, etc. specially made purple sand tea pots for Wu Desheng. The artist who specially engraved for Wu Desheng was Ren Ganting. Yu Guoliang, Cheng ShouZhen, Zhu Kexin, Wang Baogen, Wu yungen, Wang Yinchun, etc. often ordered blanks. In the 14th year of the Republic of China (1925), Wu Hanwen opened a branch of "Wu Desheng" in Shanghai, mainly selling purple sand products. The teapot made by Wu Hanwen himself also used the "Wu Desheng" style in the early period. After the outbreak of the war of resistance against Japan, "Wu Desheng" closed down, and the printing of "Wu Desheng" and "Jinding trademark" continued until the end of 1939. |
