Introduction to the bottom payment: Xu Hantang, born in Yixing, Jiangsu Province on May 11, 1932, is a master of Chinese arts and crafts. He won the "lifetime achievement award of Chinese arts and crafts", and is the only person in the Chinese purple sand industry who won this award.
After graduating from junior high school in 1948, he followed his parents to learn arts. In 1952, he became a teacher of Gu Jingzhou, a contemporary purple sand master, and became the first disciple of Gu Jingzhou. In 1972, Xu Hantang and his brother Xu Xiutang designed a set of "fifteen heads of coffee set embedded with silver wire", which was collected by the National Palace Museum of China. In 2014, the education foundation named after Xu Hantang donated 10 million yuan was officially established. In November 2017, the authorization ceremony for the production of the purple sand tea ware "palace pot" designed by Ji Hansheng was held in Fanjia pot village, Yixing. Fan Xiuhong, the grandson of fan Dasheng, became the sole authorized person for the production of the "palace pot", and Xu Hantang, the master of Chinese arts and crafts, was the artistic director of the production.
