[introduction to the bottom Payment] Wang Baogen (1890-1954), No. xuzhai, from Shushan, Yixing. It is one of the three treasures of purple sand masters in the Republic of China (three treasures: Li Baozhen, Wang Baogen and Chen Baosheng). In his early years, Wang Baogen studied with his uncle and famous scholar Wang Chunrong (Sheng Yi) at the end of the Qing Dynasty. He was a brother of Wu yungen and Zhu Kexin, the masters of pot art. After graduation, he worked as a technician in Yixing wudesheng company and Shanghai tiehuaxuan company. In 1935, he made dadongpo pot and Sanyou bottle, and participated in the Chicago Expo and won the first prize.
