Chatou, also known as natural tuocha. Due to its high tenderness and high pectin content, during the fermentation process of the cooked tea raw material heap, it naturally curls or tangles into lumps to form a cha tou. The aged tea head is tightly knotted and fully fermented. It is the essence of pu erh tea.
Compares with another cha tou,this kind of cha tou is mini, it has a small shape, brown color, although it is young, also has a mellow and smooth tasts, bright red color and living tea soup, it has a feature - can be brew more than 4 infusion at least.
How to brew ripe Puer tea?
Warm up the tea pot with boiling water, put about 5-8 Tsp pu-erh tea loose leaf, swirl and discard the water. This helps to damp tea leaves, wash and help them to start steeping, repeat the rinse of the tea leaves once more.
After that pour 8 fl.oz of boiling water that about 90-95ºC (195-205ºF) and cover tea pot for 2-4 minutes, and then enjoy it!
Note: Don't allow the tea leaves in your teapot continue to steep.
