Deposit introduction:
Gongchun (about 1506-1566), also known as Gongchun and Gongchun. During the reign of Jiajing (1522~1566 AD) in Zhengde of the Ming Dynasty, the birth and death were unknown. It was originally the servant of Wu Yishan, a Jinshi in Yixing. Wu Yishan, a famous official, has the character of "Kexue" and is friendly with Tang Bohu and others in Suzhou. In the Jiaxu year of Zhengde (1514), he was promoted as a scholar and then promoted as a deputy envoy to Sichuan to participate in politics. According to records, Wu Yishan studied at Jinsha Temple in Yixing (Hufu Town in Yixing today) before he was a scholar. The caddy Gong Chun "gave time to the envoys". He found that the monks of Jinsha Temple had refined the fine soil used to make pottery jars and urns, kneaded it into a body, shaped it round, hollowed it out, and made it into a pot. The teapot, which was later famous for its chestnut color as dark as ancient gold iron, was made by "imitating the old monk's heart craftsman, and also panning out fine soil, kneading the tea spoon into the hole, and sweeping inside and outside". Because the pot was made for the spring festival, it is commonly known as the "Spring Festival Pot".
