NeoSCI Plant Pigments and Photosynthesis Lab Classroom Science Project

Your class can now safely use paper chromatography to separate plant pigments without the use of hazardous developers found in other commercially available kits. Through this process, the pigments migrate on specially treated paper, with each pigment's migration rate dependent upon its solubility and degree of attraction to the paper. The students will identify the various plant pigments by color and position on the chromatogram and relate their role in photosynthesis.
