Nixing Clay Hand Carved Fish Teapot 220ml Flat Xishi Style Chinese Tea Brewer

Nixing Clay Hand Carved Fish Teapot 220ml Flat Xishi Style Chinese Tea Brewer

This premium flat Xishi-style teapot is hand-thrown from raw natural Guangxi Nixing clay, one of China's four famous historical pottery types. The smooth unglazed deep brown clay surface carries a soft matte luster, and the body is decorated with hand-carved motifs of two playful koi fish swimming among pine twigs — in traditional Chinese culture, the koi fish symbolizes abundance and good fortune, representing "surplus year after year". The carved lines are filled with warm light gold to make the motifs stand out against the dark clay body. The rounded flat-belly shape fits comfortably in the hand, with a smooth short spout for drip-free pouring, and a generous loop handle that stays cool during use. At approx 220ml capacity, it is ideal for gongfu tea sessions for 2-3 people.
