Returning from the past, Bangdong Administrative Village, Bangshu Township, Lincang, is a mountainous area with an altitude of 750 meters, an average annual temperature of 21°C, and an annual precipitation of 1,200 mm. Xigui ancient tea gardens are mostly distributed in the mid-mountain area, growing in mixed forests. The ancient tea trees are about 200 years old, and the larger tea tree base is 60 to 110 centimeters. Xigui tea belongs to the Bangshu large-leaf species. Because the local custom only picks spring tea and autumn tea every year, the tea trees are better protected and the tea quality is much better than in other villages.

Back in the past, the characteristics of Pu'er tea from Ancient Tea Mountain are: bright and clear soup color, high aroma, slightly astringent and sweet taste, fresh agarwood in the throat, mellow tea aroma, and sweet aftertaste that stimulates body fluids. Xigui tea is rich in content and very resistant to brewing. The tea soup has a high concentration, a thick taste, a sharp aroma, a strong tea aroma but a smooth soup feel. The water flow is delicate and accompanied by a strong sweetness and salivation, and the fragrance in the mouth lasts for a long time.
